Our story started with a simple question: why is rideshare so expensive for riders and so unfair for drivers? We kept hearing the same thing from both sides. Riders were paying too much, and drivers were giving up too much of their income to commission fees. It didn't seem fair.
So we built Budget Ride to do things differently. Lower fares for riders and flexible earning options for drivers, including a flat weekly fee to keep 100 percent of fares, or a low commission plan if that suits you better. No big cuts, no surge pricing tricks, and no confusing rules. Just a fairer way to ride and earn.

What if I don’t want to pay the daily fee?
No problem, we also offer a 10% commission-based option. This gives you the flexibility to choose what works best for your driving schedule: pay-as-you-go or full access with a flat fee.
Can I switch between the flat fee and commission model?
Yes! Drivers will be able to switch between models depending on their needs - drive more one week? Choose the flat fee. Taking it slow? Stick with commission. It’s completely up to you.
Is Budget Ride available in my city?
Budget Ride is currently available across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and the ACT. We're expanding to more areas soon, so if we're not in your city yet, download the app and stay tuned.
